Introduction to the Concept of Blog Comment Posting

Over the past few years, blog's have become increasingly popular, not just with the visitors, but with the search engines as well.

Compared to regular sites, blog's tend to receive a much higher PR and rather fast; almost too easy! There are plenty of reasons for that, but that doesn’t matter; you don’t want to know how these blog's get their high PR, you want to get links from them, and that’s it for this chapter. So, how to get link from them; post comments in them …

The option of blog's to leave a comment results in fresh and new content that is added to the pages continually, this makes the pages much longer and is 1 of the reasons why they tend to gather a much higher PR then a regular web page. From in the beginning blog owners have been rewarding their contributors with a link. That’s what we’re after: to get a link in return for contributing a valuable comment to a blog or a blog page that is related to your niche market.

But now the bad-news: these blog's also get spammed a lot, so all kind of little tricks are in place to stop the spam as much as possible. Unfortunately a lot of bloggers and especially the developers of the blog script made a huge mistake by using the rel=nofollow tag to TRY preventing spam. They didn’t just failed miserably in their attempt; it didn’t stop and/or reduced spam at all, while they caused tremendous damages to the whole concept of blogging and to the purpose of rel=nofollow as well. Because of this it is crucial to perform a lot of research to find blog's that didn’t made that mistake and still give you a SEO-friendly, one-way, direct link. Because links with a rel=nofollow tag on them will not help your rankings and/or pass on PR.

That is where we come in: we will research thousands of blog's, to find those that are related to the content of your website, have a high PR (minimum PR2-on the pages, not just the homepage) and of course without the rel=nofollow tag. This means that we have to start with thousands, yes, thousands, not hundreds, but thousands of blog's, to find just a handful of good blog's, so there is a price tag: $100 for the initial research.

What do you get for it? Well, not 1 single link, as posting comments is a separated issue; as in; you could or even should do this yourself. Where it comes down to is that for most niche markets/topics there are just not that many really good blog's. So, if you would start surfing the net to post in a bunch of blog's; most likely your totally wasting your time. You really need to do a very in-depth research to find those limited amount of blog's that are truly worth the effort to post comments in.

Now for the good-news: once we actually did all the research and give you a list of blog's, all very related and of high quality; it all of a sudden becomes incredible easy to gain a whole lot of very high value links really fast. So the initial $100 you have to invest in the research will pay of really fast. Most of these high quality blog's only gained their value because they make post frequently, so you just have to follow up on new post and make a comment to gain high value links. We’re talking about PR2-3-4, even PR5-6 links!

Overview of the Blog Research Process

We use 2 tactics to find the blog's:

  • We research based on key terms, those are kind of your keywords, but there are just more specific words needed, as this is not directly related to your rankings and the search terms used by your potential visitors, these are the words we use to find the blog's that are related to your topic/site/niche market. The more specific, the more exclusively to your own topic the words we use the easier it is to find related blog's; for example: very technical terms; the kind of words people would only use whenever they’re indeed writing about your market.

  • We check the links of your competition and of the high priority sites about your topic; for example: Wikipedia; many blog's link to specific pages within Wikipedia about the topic. Your competition; for this we use your actual keywords, check in google who’s ranking for them on the top positions and check their links. This is a bit like fishing; not all of your competitors will have blog links, but those who do will give us a good list of blog's to look at.

  • This is only to compile a list of blog's, now we still need to check the quality of these blog's. Fortunately we have a program for this: Fast Blog Finder, you can use it yourself if you want just as well of course; just make sure you actually read the manual, otherwise you’ll end up checking tons of blog's that are not related at all and you’re still wasting your time.

    The program checks for many different technical elements;
    • First of all for dofollow of course (there’s not such a thing as a dofollow-tag; it’s just the easy way to say; ‘no use of the rel=nofollow tag’)
    • PR of the actual page.
    • PR of the blog domain – homepage
    • Total amount of outgoing links per page : to add a link to a page with more than 100 other outgoing links is pointless
    • Most recent post; to make sure the blog is still actively maintained, otherwise it’s very likely that nobody will ever approve your comment.
    Without this program we would never be able to offer this service, as the checking it does would take, not hours, but many, many days to do it manually. Still, the results are not perfect, 2 most common problems;
    • Whenever the program checks a blog page without any comments on it yet, it will mark it as being dofollow, while it could be that it’s in fact a nofollow.
    • Not related; no matter how hard we try to research to related blog's only, a rather big part of them will turn out not to be related after all.
    So, we still have to check the list we get from the program 1 by 1. While doing so we will make extra notations;
    • we give them points for being related and of course delete those that are not.
    • Same for the ones that don’t have comments on them yet; we check other pages of the blog with comments on them and delete those that turn out to be nofollow
    • Not all blog actually give a direct link; the link will go to a profile page, as long the profile allows a bio and direct links to your web site, then the blog can still be useful
    • Many blog's are part of a bigger community; bloglog of yahoo for example, some have keywordLuv; they allow keywords for the links etc.
    • Some need login; many expect you to do a minimum amount of comment before they turn of the nofollow
    • Trackbacks; if you have a blog of your own you really want this information, it is like an automated link-exchange between your own blog and the blog that accepts the trackback.
    • Link drop; some allow links within the comment, we could drop a link here, but it is risky, so we don't do that the first, only when you're already accepted by the blog owner and when it is really appropriate
    • Keywords; most blog's don’t accept keywords in the link; they want a name, but some do; we love these blog's!
    How many blog's we will eventually have left totally depends on the topic, if the results are really poor we will do more results for a broader topic; instead of SEO-services; internet marketing. Still; this will surprise you, but in fact; the less blog's we find the better … really! Why? Well, the more blog's we find, the more competition you have the more comment postings it will take to out rank your competitors! Unless you are actually active in a very competitive market; for most sites just 4-5 really good, high PR blog's are enough to get incredible great results from the actual commenting.

    Overview of the blog Comment Posting Process

    Once we have that list we can finally start commenting. Of course when you order the commenting and the research together, we will of course do this during the last stage, when we are manually checking the blog's 1 by 1.

    In this case we will also comment to pages that are very related to your topic and have already a high PR, as long we have enough indicators to assume they will actually accept your comment; many blog's do not accept new comments on old pages. This while we’re searching for related blog's, not just 1 related page on a blog that’s otherwise not related. But it is no problem to comment on a related page from an unrelated blog, it’s just that we then can only use that blog once for that 1 page. We just want more; blog's in which we can comment for you frequently. Still, as long the page has a high PR and it is related, it would be a waste not to comment on it.

    WE DO NOT SPAM blog's FOR YOU!!

    We read the article, read the comments, do some research if needed and make a valuable, long, interesting, on-topic comment. This to make sure they will accept the comment and turn it into a link.

    To post a comment, we will insert your name and your homepage URL. Once your comment is approved of, you will be able to click on your name (anchor text) for your link to appear. We might try to use a more effective anchor text instead of your name, but we need to be careful here. Forcing an anchor text upon a blog owner might turn sour and result in no link at all.

    Most blog's don’t accept keywords-anchor text links with your keywords in them; the want a name. So we do that, again because we want to be sure that they accept the comment. Point being; sure to have the keywords in the link would be better, but not getting accepted is worth anything. Also; we’re going for the PR here, there are plenty of other ways to get anchor text links.

    As mentioned before; blog's do get a lot of spam, so they have small thing in place like a captcha to stop spam as much as possible. That’s no issue of course, but many blog's also demand a login. In this case we will check what you actually get out of it; many blog's will only remove the rel=nofollow after you commented enough, being it 2 or 10 comments that depends on each blog individually. As long the blog has great value to you; high PR and very related, we will create a login for you and place a first comment.

    Once the research and/or the commenting is all done, you get a long list of all the blog's we could find that have value to you, with the necessary notes to be able to follow up on them the next time fast and easy.
